Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1986, Megan Denise Fox started taking drama and dance lessons at the age of five and thrived from the very beginning. Despite a move to Florida when she was 10, Megan's parents did not let their youngest daughter forgo her talent, and so the future actress continued her training.

She began acting and modeling at the age of thirteen upon winning several awards at the 1999 American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head,South Carolina. Megan made her film debut as Brianna Wallace in the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movie, Holiday in the Sun(2001).

She then landed guest appearances on Ocean Ave. and , What I Like About You, Two and a Half MenThe Help from 2003 to 2004. In 2004, Fox starred in Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen alongside Lindsay Lohan. She was subsequently cast in her first recurring role in a television series on Hope & Faith, in which she portrayed Sydney Shanowski from 2004 until 2006. Fox won the role of female lead, Mikaela Banes, in the film Transformers, where she plays the love interest of Shia LaBeouf's character Sam Witwicky.
